The BIO: About Galleria Merila Galleria Merilä is located in Sunila area in Kotka (Finland) at the basement of Asuntohotelli Hostel Aallon Maja. There are also Art Cafe Aino and Russian Art Center in Kotka. The building is designed by Alvar Aalto, the most famous architect in Finland ever. The Sunila district is the most important industrial and residental area designed by Alvar Aalto. Galleria Merilä, Russian Art Center in Kotka and Art Cafe Aino are owned by Mr. Ilkka Porkka, the owner of Asuntohotelli Aallo Maja and Asuntohotelli Hotel Petkele (in Hamina).
